Magic Whiteboard Review

I am always looking for products that will help me simplify my life. When I was offered the opportunity to review the Magic Whiteboard, I was elated.

The Magic Whiteboard is a quick and easy way to move your whiteboard from one area to another. You can also take it with you if you need it on the go. I loved the idea of having a quick and reusable way to write my "to do" lists or a quick note to my child that I could change consistently.

When i received my Magic Whiteboard, I was immediately disappointed. It was about the size of a standard piece of paper and very thin. I know that makes the item light and portable, but there were creases all through the product from shipping. That was a quick turn off. I imagine that if it creases in shipping, it will crease when I move it from area to area.

Even with the creases, I figured I should still give it the good try and use it for its intended purpose. So I pulled out the dry erase pen that came with it and went to work. Umm, next problem. The pens would not wipe off or wash off.

This is not a product that I would recommend. If the dry erase marker washed off or even wiped off, I could have continued to test this product to verify how it held up to moving and its portability, but I could not make it that far.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

ReUsies Snack and Sandwich Bags Review

Are you trying to be more eco-friendly? Maybe you hate packing lunches for your family only to find out that you are out of sandwich bags. ReUsies are a great solution for both.

I have been using both the sandwich size and snack size ReUsies for the last several days. They are a quick and easy way to pack a lunch for my family. They are quick and easy to add items to and they are just as easy to clean.

ReUsies are nicely designed with a decorative fabric on the outside and a water resistant nylon liner on the inside. They are easy to open and close with a Velcro strip. In fact, there is two Velcro strips on the bags. One for a general sized bag, the other to shrink the bag to about half the size if needed. The best part, they are both dishwasher and and washing machine safe. No need to throw them away or worry about bacteria and germs.

I really enjoy the convenience of ReUsies and knowing that I am not throwing away plastic bags unnecessarily. They come in great designs that are fun for everyone in the family too. What would you like to put in your ReUsies? If you would like to try ReUsies for yourself, you can enter to win a 2 pack of them here starting on November 18th, 2012 and ending at 11:59 PM December 6th.

Don't tell anyone in my house this, but here is what I hide in the ReUsies in my purse.

Packaways Storage Box Review

If your house is anything like mine, you have limited storage space. I do not have any extra space to store unused boxes but I always need a box to ship items, store items, or send my adult kids home with items.
Folded Flat

Packaways are reusable plastic multipurpose storage boxes. When I received my classic PackAways I was a little concerned, They came in a thin flat box and I was nervous they would not hold up to my wear and tear. Once I opened the shipping box, I was glad to see they were better than I thought. They came in bright colors (Green and Pink) and were extremely easy to set up.
Opened Up and Ready to Pack
I had to put these to a true test. I have a million things to box up since my daughter moved out. Needless to say, I had plenty of items that I could shove in them. Once I had the boxes open and ready to pack, I started to fill them. I found that they were stronger than I expected and they are a great size. I managed to pack two dresser drawers worth of clothes into one box and still had a little room left. I did not try to pack heavy items such as books or dishes in these. I was not sure that the box would truly hold together with 40 pounds of books packed in it.

One feature of PackAways that I really fell in love with is the built in label. There is a small white label on the side of each box that you can write the contents of the box on. The label is like a mini dry erase board. As long as you use a specified (China Dry Erase) marker, you can just wipe it off and write the new contents on the label.

Overall PackAways Classic storage boxes are easy to setup, easy to label, and even easier to fold flat and tuck under the bed or in the back of a closet.
