There is nothing more uncomfortable than having someone drop by at the last moment and having a dirty home. Well, maybe knowing the guests were coming over and having a smelly home.
I recently invited two friends over for a Febreze Noseblind movie night.. With the help of some buttery popcorn we set off to take the challenge.
First off, you cannot mistake the smell of microwave popcorn. It is so overwhelming, that it almost makes your nose burn. After watching a great movie with even greater friends, we set off on the next step.
What do we smell now? Well considering there was a popcorn bowl in front of one of us, we all smelled different things. I smelled my old stinky dog in my lap, one of my friends smelled the old popcorn sitting next to her, the best answer of all, "I smell sweaty bodies." That is what you call a "good friend."
When we were all done with discussing our olfactory system, (that is just a fancy way to say our sense of smell) we tested out the Febreze Air Effects Meadow and Rain.
Now first off, you should know that I am a little bit of a scent-aholic. I love the smell of freshly washed clothes and a clean house. I don't want to smell cleaners, I want things to smell fresh. Febreze managed to not only hide the scent of stale buttered popcorn, it was gone. Even with the bowl still in front of us. Now don't get me wrong, if I put the bowl under my nose and sniffed, I could smell the popcorn, but the room no longer smelled like a recently abandoned movie theater.
You can go to the Febreze Noseblind site to get more information and the science behind noseblindness.

The stinkiest smell I have ever encountered has to be driving by a dairy farm. This particular farm actually had a brown stink cloud that hovered over the road that you could see as you drove through it. The smell was horrendous! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! girlygirlugh at gmail dot com

ReplyDeleteThe smell I am looking to remove is a musty odor. We had some loose duct work under the air vent in the living room and, even though it's been repaired the musty odor still lingers. I notice it when I have left my home and returned and when I open the door I can smell it.
