Misfit Shine Review

Misfit Shine

Two of the biggest money makers in this economy have to do with high tech gadgets and fitness. General consumers want the newest technology and want to stay as healthy as possible. So what happens when you combine the two? The Misfit Shine!

The Misfit Shine is a small gadget that is about the diameter of a quarter that has features to track and sync your daily exercise routines. With its small size, you can wear it with pride or hide it discretely. The unit itself is easy to set up by popping it open and adding the included battery. Of course you need to download the app also.

For those of you that live in a soggy climate like I do, don't worry. The Misfit shine is water resistant up to 50 meters. That means your daily run in the rain or your laps in the pool will not kill your device.

There are definite upsides and downsides to this unit. Here is what I found after using the Misfit Shine.

Currently only for use with Apple products (this is a big con for Android users but it is coming soon)
To use the watch function requires good eyesight
Contains a magnet (be VERY careful around electronic devices)
The unit is not rechargeable and the battery only lasts around 4 months

Overall, the product is fun to use and very motivational for anyone that is like me and find find more reasons to sit quietly on the couch than to get up off my booty and exercise. If you have a family member that would like to track their fitness progress and goals, this is a great product at a reasonable price. Hopefully they are an Apple user at this time or they will need to wait for a little bit before they can use the product.

As the people in my household age, I am finding that we need to monitor our blood pressure more and more. In fact, just recently my husband was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

I also found that having the ability to store information for more than one person is extremely helpful.

Not only can I keep track of my blood pressure, but i can keep a nice record of my husbands blood pressure and provide quick and easy data to his physician. It will record up to 60 blood pressure readings per user. That is a life saver! If you are anything like me, I lose the paper that I record my husbands blood pressure on all of the time. Now I can just grab the information of of the Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor.

The other feature that I found incredible is the Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor's ability to detect an irregular heartbeat. Fortunately, no irregular heartbeat was detected with any of my family members, but this feature would be very helpful in tracking anomalies under a physicians care.
