Are You on Team Borax?

Borax.jpeg

For the last 24 years I have been in charge of the household laundry. Whether is what just cleaning uniforms for my husband or cleaning grass stains from my kids clothes, I have struggled with it all at some point.

I had heard of 20 Mule Team Borax in the past but never really knew how to use it with my laundry. There is never a better to time try something new, right? When I started to read what Borax actually is, I was more impressed than ever. Here are a few tidbits about 20 Mule Team Borax that may make you wonder why you have not tried it before.
  • 20 Mule Team Borax is 100% natural mineral from the earth
  • There are no additives in 20 Mule Team Borax
  • 20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water
  • 20 Mule Team Borax boosts the effectiveness of your detergent
  • Only 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax is needed for improved cleaning power
I have been using my box of 20 Mule Team Borax to wash items that I know I have had  difficulty with in the past. I wanted to know if my whites stayed whiter, if I could remove the dingy gray color from white, and mostly wanted to know if it would fade my colors.Surprisingly, my whites are better, the set in dingy gray is still there but it has faded a little bit, and my colors have held up well. I will not tell you that one washed fixed all of the set in stains. However, I can tell you that my clothes are softer and the stains are definitely fading with  each wash.

I have really enjoyed using 20 Mule Team Borax. I have found that my laundry is fresher and and has a slightly different feel. I have also noticed that my washing machine does not have the same water stains in the drum anymore. 20 Mule Team Borax will be a fixture in my house for future stain removal.

Adding a New Member to the Family

Diaper Baby by Corina

Some of you may not know that I work full-time, go to school full-time, and still manage to keep up with my family. Sometimes i am not sure how I have done it for so long, but the smiles and encouragement keep me going. Just so you all know, I love my little family just the way it is. It is little and very easy to manage. Especially with my hectic schedule.

You know what that means right? I am comfortable where I am at, so something has to give. I was recently told that I will be adding a grand daughter to my little brood. That is not too bad right? I will be done with school March 29th (Hallelujah!) and I will have more time to cuddle with a new peanut in the family.

The day after I found out that I was going to have a new grand daughter my best friend called to say that her son was going to add a baby too. He will be adding a baby boy to their family. Her children are exactly the same ages as my children and they were raised together. So her family is really just an extension of mine. Now I am adding two new ones to my little brood. That won't be so bad.

Then the text message came. You know they say things happen in threes.... The 15 year old daughter of my best friend is also pregnant. My response? HOLY COW! One she is 15. Two, a third baby is coming! This is going to get chaotic fast!

I start to think that maybe we can figure this out. How can we coordinate? What are the due dates? As time goes on due dates change several times between the two older expectant parents. Then it hits me. They are due one day apart! UGH! Now I am panicking. I know that due dates are estimates and the babies will come when they are ready, but how can I possibly be in two places at the same time? Sigh. Fortunately, the third baby is due a few months later so I might have a few moments of breathing time in between.

For now, it is time to plan. Baby showers, furniture shopping, and clothes shopping. Buy one in blue and one in pink. I am starting to understand what it would be like to be the grandmother of twins. My little family will nearly double in the next several months. Watch out world, Grammy is expanding!

Juppy Baby Walker Review

With all of the chaos in my house the last thing I would ever thing about is a little back saver when teaching my infant to walk. Since I am 5'10" I have spent countless hours hunched over holding little hands as my kids learned to walk. I recently had an opportunity to try a Juppy baby walker. I immediately wanted to test it out to see how it worked and if it really would help save my back.

Putting a child in the Juppy was not hard, but if you have a wiggle worm for a child, be prepared for a little work unless you have a second set of hands to hold them while you slide them in the Juppy. Once the Juppy is on, hello! It was easy to adjust the straps for my particular height and walk a small child around without hunching over to hold their hands.

The handles on the baby walker are easy to hold and provide an easy grip to make sure that you have a firm hold on your child. The entire unit is made up of an easily washable material just in case your child gets it dirty.

The Juppy is available in pink, blue, or black. They are also customizable with your child's name.
This is a great way to assist your child with walking while saving your back and can make a great baby shower gift for the woman that has everything.
