Purex Ultrapack Plus Oxi Review

Disclosure: The Purex brand provided me with a sample of Purex Ultrapacks with OXI in exchange for a product review. All opinions are my own.

A few days ago I received a package of Dirt Lift Action UltraPacks plus OXI  from Purex to try write up an honest review.  Living with a 5 year old and a grease monkey means that I have some serious stains on clothes when I do laundry. What living with these two dirty men means to me?...I do not have time to spray and pre treat stains every time they get something on their clothes.

I have tried other brand of stain packs and have not been 100% satisfied. They work, but the cost of them adds up fast. When I opened my package of Purex UltraPacks I was a little surprised. They are little gel filled packets. If I knew that they would not break, I would have played with one for a while. They are soft and filled completely with liquid detergent for an added boost of stain fighting power. The new Dirt Lift Action Purex UltraPacks Plus OXI also contain Zout Stain removers. With the dirt an grime in my laundry, this can only help me out with my laundry.

The test come when I washed my first load of chocolate milk, mud covered, grass stained clothes from the 5 year old. In went the power pack, then the clothes on top, and off I went.

About two hours later the clothes are washed and dried so I can see the results. I start looking..... The spots where the grass and mud were.....no hint of a previous stain. The clothes were clean! Purex UltraPacks has passed the 5 year old boy test! That is an amazing accomplishment in my world. Most of the time there is a small hint of a stain when I am done washing clothes.

After several loads, I am still impressed. The Purex UltraPacks are removing my most common stains. They are easy to use and do not require any pre-treating before starting a load of laundry! That is great for me, a mom, student, and full time employee. If I can save a few minutes everyday, I am a little happier.

Right now, Purex is giving away $50 to 10 people that can locate the RED football jersey on their website. You want an easy hint? "Just toss and go." You can go here for your chance to win.

Here is some basic information that you can find at Purex.com/ultrapacks.

Are You on Team Borax?

Borax.jpeg

For the last 24 years I have been in charge of the household laundry. Whether is what just cleaning uniforms for my husband or cleaning grass stains from my kids clothes, I have struggled with it all at some point.

I had heard of 20 Mule Team Borax in the past but never really knew how to use it with my laundry. There is never a better to time try something new, right? When I started to read what Borax actually is, I was more impressed than ever. Here are a few tidbits about 20 Mule Team Borax that may make you wonder why you have not tried it before.
  • 20 Mule Team Borax is 100% natural mineral from the earth
  • There are no additives in 20 Mule Team Borax
  • 20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water
  • 20 Mule Team Borax boosts the effectiveness of your detergent
  • Only 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax is needed for improved cleaning power
I have been using my box of 20 Mule Team Borax to wash items that I know I have had  difficulty with in the past. I wanted to know if my whites stayed whiter, if I could remove the dingy gray color from white, and mostly wanted to know if it would fade my colors.Surprisingly, my whites are better, the set in dingy gray is still there but it has faded a little bit, and my colors have held up well. I will not tell you that one washed fixed all of the set in stains. However, I can tell you that my clothes are softer and the stains are definitely fading with  each wash.

I have really enjoyed using 20 Mule Team Borax. I have found that my laundry is fresher and and has a slightly different feel. I have also noticed that my washing machine does not have the same water stains in the drum anymore. 20 Mule Team Borax will be a fixture in my house for future stain removal.

Disclosure: Borax provided a free sample of their product to facilitate this review. However, all opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced by another party.
