For those of you that do not know, a Sphygmomanometer is more commonly called a blood pressure cuff. They are great to have around the house for those loved ones that need to have their blood pressure checked on a regular basis.
Of course there are the electric blood pressure cuffs out there. But, let me tell you, as a health care provider, I prefer not to use electric cuffs on all of my patients. Yes, a manual sphygmomanometer takes a little more time, but know that electric blood pressure cuffs can provide inaccurate readings on people with heart abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation.

Not only is this an easy to use and read sphygmomanometer, but it is more than affordable for those that need to check up on their family members health regularly. If you think that it would be better to spend more money on the electric cuffs, you may be surprised at how much more you will really be paying.
If you do not know how to take a blood pressure manually, seriously YouTube has a video for everything! Besides practicing is half of the fun.
