Display-Sheet Makeup Bag Review #displaysheetbag
As women we always want to be prepared at all times. But it can be difficult carrying all of our make-up around with us. Most of us have a cute little make-up bag that we tuck everything into to take with us. Then we pull out what we need as we need it. What I have found over time is that I have to dig to the bottom of my make-up bag to find that one little eyeliner or lipstick. Or sometimes I have found myself dumping the entire contents on the a counter someplace to access the items that I need.
With the display-sheet make-up bag you will not have that issue. You can place all of your make-up inside the bag and quickly close it up. When you are ready to use an item in the bag, you just loosen the strap and pull out the display sheet. All of your items are easily seen and and accessible.
Traveling anytime soon, this make-up bag will be a lifesaver. No need to scatter everything all over a hotel room counter. In a hurry. Left your display sheet and drop the contents right back into the bag, pull the drawstring and go.
One additional feature that worked out well for me was the nylon material that the bag is made up of. Over the years I have learned that I am an absolute klutz. The nylon material made my spills easily cleaned up with just a damp cloth. No need to stare at ugly make-up stains on your cute bag any more.

Instant Face Lift with Mistiq Rapid Lifting & Tightening Spritz #protegemistiq
What is Mistiq? It is a spritz that you can easily carry in your purse to spritz on your face when ever you need an additional lift.
I started by using Mistiq first thing in the morning. I would apply it on a clean dry face, wait a few seconds for it to completely dry, then apply my usual make-up. It is super easy to apply. You do need to make sure you avoid your eyes and mouth. If you close your eyes and mouth when spraying, your should have no issues. Spray once, and you are done! Really? That is all there is to it? Yippee!
The results are not the same as true plastic surgery, but I promise people around you will ask what you are doing? The fine lines diminish and red spots fade. Your skin become more even and your pores will appear smaller.
So the one downside, it that the effects are only listed to last 4 hours. I found that I did not feel like I needed to use it every four hours. There were a few occasions that I added a quick spritz over my make-up in the late afternoon before a meeting at my kids school or a late lunch with a friend. I thought that a little touch up would help make me feel refreshed and more put together in the late afternoon and I was right. Not only did I get compliments, but the cool mist felt great on a hot summer day.

Lancôme DreamTone #bareselfie #DreamTone
Disclosure: I received a complimentary product from SheSpeaks/Lancôme to facilitate this review.
For the last several years, I have been searching for the perfect product for my face. I love some of the new advances, but I dislike others.
First, let me start with a little bit about the product. "DreamTone is the next
generation in dark spot correction. This customized skin tone correcting
serum is so powerful, 72% of women dare to bare their skin.* The new
DreamTone is 3 barely-tinted serums formulated to visibly correct dark
spots, color imperfections and give you a more even-looking skin tone.
It comes in 3 serums customized for your skin tone: 1- Fair, 2 – Medium,
3 – Dark."
Okay, enough about the product description written by the professionals. Now for the simple and to the point review of a not so gracefully aging woman.
I will start with what you will see first. The Bottle. The bottle is very elegant in shape, size and color. The easy to hold triangular sharp is very classy looking and I loved it. The part that threw me was the lid. Here I am expecting to unscrew a lid and when I twisted, the top of the lid area popped up. Whoa! That means I will not lose my lid. Woo Hoo!
On a more serious note, the serum is the perfect thickness and highly concentrated. Yes, I said highly concentrated. It takes very little of the Lancôme DreamTone to cover your entire face. It glides on smoothly and has a light feminine scent. In fact, the scent is very refreshing.

After two weeks of using Lancôme DreamTone serum twice a day, I am starting to see some results. I am getting dark spots as I age, but so far I can see some reduction in one of my dark spots. It is definitely not both dark spots and it is not drastic, but a start is not bad for two weeks of use.
I have noticed more even skin tone all over my face. I don't have blotchy skin that I feel the need to bury under gobs of make up. In fact, tucking the Dreamtone under my regular moisturizer and make-up, I feel that I need less make-up. I am looking forward to what the rest of the bottle will bring to me!

Ageless Derma Pressed Mineral Blush
I was given an opportunity to try Ageless Derma Pressed Mineral Blush in Sherry, I was more than willing to try it. After all, it is 100% natural and has vitamins and green tea.
The package:
Ageless Derma Pressed Mineral Blush came to my door in a nice small black box. Inside the box was a nice hard plastic compact that contained the blush. Unlike other products that I have tried, the compact was very easy to open. There is not a brush with this blush, so you must have your own. Most of us do, so I do not feel that this is a deal breaker.
The color:
When I went to apply the product on my skin, I was very careful not to add too much to the brush for fear I might have dark streaks across my cheeks. To my surprise, this went on much lighter that it appears in the package. It went on smooth and easily and was a very subtle touch of color.
I found that the way the minerals picked up and reflected the light added a little bit of a glow to my cheeks. I have not ever looked for an added glow as a feature in my blush, but I found that I enjoyed it with my aging skin.

BA STAR Review
![]() |
| BA STAR Stardust and BA STAR Glue |
BA STAR Stardust loose mineral shadow would have been the perfect item to toss in my make-up bag for my trip. The loose powder is subtle, but has plenty of shimmer to help you stand out.
If you use it by itself, it creates a great daytime look for your eyes. I received the Bronze color and I was very impressed at the color on my skin. Neutral earth tones are great with my pale coloring and the Bronze is a great color against my blue eyes. I have been very happy with the BA STAR Stardust without even using the primer.

| BA STAR Shadow without primer |
If you need a bolder look or need more staying power you can use the BA STAR Glue- Shadow base as a primer under the shadow. This would be great if you have a daughter that does dance recitals or other performances that requires a little darker coloring. Using the primer provides a darker look that wears longer. Use the primer for a night out on the town, a trip to Vegas (wink wink), or a more dramatic daytime look.
BA STAR Stardust loose mineral shadow will be my next travel companion to Vegas.

Advanced Mineral Make-Up Review
I received the product described below free of charge to facilitate my review.
I had an opportunity to try Advanced Mineral make-up in a loose powder. The process of choosing the right make-up from Advanced minerals was made super easy by making only 4 colors and naming the shades after celebrities.
The loose powder that I received was the Angelina Jolie color. I chose to go up a shade since summer is here and my make-up needs to be a shade darker with exposure to summer sun. The Angelina Jolie color was perfect for my normally light skin shade with a light tan. It is also plenty dark enough to make it through the summer with a little darker tan too.
I am always a little nervous about switching my foundations for fear that my face will freak out and break out. I have been very happy with the Advanced minerals foundation. It is very lightweight on my skin and has not caused any breakouts at all.
The foundation left a nice glow on my skin and blended perfectly. The powder is lightweight and cannot be felt at all. The best part, it takes very little powder to cover, so the loose powder will last a long time for those of us that like to wear make-up all of the time or tend to refresh our make-up through the day.
The container that the Advanced Minerals foundation came in was also nicely designed. The container has a screw on lid to prevent the loose powder from spilling out of the container. There is also an insert inside the container that allows the powder to be dispensed slowly to help control the amount that is used or exposed when in use.
What I did notice is that when I wiped my face at all the make up wiped off. Not that there was a visible section missing from my skin, but the type where the make-up showed up on a napkin or a shirt that rubbed against my face. So to reduce the rub off, I used a make-up setting spray.
So which celebrity are you?

28 Day Mascara Review
I get up every morning and perform my morning rituals. I am a natural make up gal, but I refuse to leave home without it. I recently had an opportunity to try a product called 28 Day Mascara and I think I am in love.
The product is designed to provide dark eyelashes for up to 28 days if applied correctly. Now don;t get me wrong, the application process is a little more touchy than applying regular mascara. One little hand wiggle without preparation and you will have a black streak for a few days.
I started the process by reading every little word on the instruction sheet. Of course, I skipped the allergy test. I was not going to wait 24 hours to test this stuff out. That probably was not the smartest thing to do, but I am slightly impatient.
The first step is truly being prepared. I washed my eye lashes with an oil free facial cleanser and applied a little, and I mean a little, petroleum jelly under my eye (not on the lashes) and on my upper lid. According to the directions, this helps prevent stains if you have an oops. It also helps the eye shields stay in place to protect under your eyes.
Once I had my lashes cleaned, my skin protected, and the eye shields in place I got to work. I applied the cream color on my upper lashes of my right eye first. This was not an easy task, but I managed. The applicator is a small wand that is plastic so it does not want to hold liquid. I quickly wiped the color off the applicator and applied the activator. Whew, this was hard work! I do not have a steady hand and I did not want to walk around with a black eye for the next several days. I made sure to repeat the process with my lower lashes on my right eye, then I moved to my left.
My natural lashes are almost blond, so one application appeared to be enough for me. It did not take me too long to apply the colorant and activator to both sets of eye lashes. It took a total of about 10 minutes with prep time. Which I thought was pretty decent for something that is going to last several weeks. I am very happy with the results and so far I have made it 12 days without reapplying any form of mascara. Yeah!

NYC New York Color
NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine
Straight from the city that never sleeps, NYC New York Color offers products with uptown style at down-to-earth prices, from $.99 - $4.99. The energy, style and color of New York City shines through the wide range of shades, textures and innovative products. NYC always delivers the most on-trend products & shades hot off the runway!
A beauty-editor favorite is Liquid Lipshine ($2.49). It has pure pigments that created a 3-D gloss effect. Vitamin E provides shine and a moisturizing feel. The formula is non-sticky, super shiny & soft. Available in 10 on-trend shades from neutral nudes, to berries & fuchsias. Start shopping for NYC at these stores nearest you: Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others. Visit newyorkcolor.com to check out all shades and fun products from New York Color!
I have never been a lip gloss person. The sticky tacky feeling on my lips has never made me say ,"Hey I need lip gloss today!" I love the shine of lip gloss, now if they could just get rid of the sticky feeling and make it stay on.
I tested out the New York Nude shade of this Liquid Lipshine courtesy of the Influenster's Voxbox program. I was generally impressed since I am not a lip gloss person. The color was nice and subtle and was a nice way to tone down a darker lipstick.
The sticky is not totally gone and it does not stay on as long as I would like. But, this is a nice way to add a touch of shine from your pocket in a flash. You can add a little color to that shine too if you want. This is not going to be a must have for me, but it works well for a quick fix on the run.
** I received this product complimentary to test through Influenster’s VoxBox program. All opinions in this article are my own.
